Teri and Jeffrey Anderholm are your welcoming hosts at The Bass Cottage Inn. After their first visit to Mount Desert Island in 1990, they began to daydream about owning an inn there themselves.

Dreams became reality in 2003 when they bought the old Bass Cottage in The Field property and saved a Bar Harbor landmark. They left behind their corporate jobs in the Boston area to create Bar Harbor’s premier luxury inn. Decorated top to bottom by Teri and Jeff, each room at the Inn reflects a casual, tasteful elegance.

Among her many talents, Teri is a culinary school graduate and oversees the menu at the Inn. Jeff oversees guest services so that you are ensured of a gracious welcome and thoroughly enchanting stay.
